Reframing Anger Summit Presentation
Anger as a Habit
October 1, 2026 - October 30, 2026
About the Presentation
Anger is something many of us struggle with daily. But how often do we justify losing our temper because we believe our frustration is understandable, acceptable, or warranted?
There are times when anger is an automatic and natural response. But there are also moments when losing our temper has become a habit, especially over small things that, for the most part, could be avoided or handled differently.
We can choose to spend less time reacting in anger and more time taking a deep breath, stepping back, and choosing how we want to respond.
In my experience, small changes can make a significant difference. Being mindful of what we eat, for example, can help us avoid unnecessary moodiness, while becoming more conscious of the thoughts and beliefs we repeatedly entertain can change the way we experience our day.
Ultimately, we have more influence over our emotional state than we sometimes realise. Instead of allowing anger to control our interactions, we can choose to own our state, shift our perspective, and move forward.
Because our attitude and behaviour don't just affect us, they shape the experience of everyone around us, too.
