Reframing Anger Summit Presentation
Anger, Addiction, and the Patterns We Avoid
October 1, 2026 - October 30, 2026
About the Presentation
Anger and addiction are more connected than most people realize. For many, addiction isn’t just about substances—it’s a pattern of avoiding, numbing, or escaping emotions that feel too intense to process, especially anger.
In this talk, Leandra breaks down how suppressed anger often sits underneath addictive behaviors—whether that shows up as substance use, overworking, people-pleasing, or emotional shutdown. She explains how these patterns form, why awareness alone isn’t enough to change them, and how the “gap” between reaction and response is where real change begins.
Listeners will learn how to recognize the role anger plays in their own patterns, understand the function addiction is serving, and begin shifting from avoidance into healthier emotional processing. This creates more clarity, stronger boundaries, and the ability to take more aligned action in everyday life.
