Reframing Anger Summit Presentation
The Echo Effect-Why your partners reactions seem BIGGER than this moment
October 1, 2026 - October 30, 2026
About the Presentation
Have you ever wondered why your partner’s reaction seems so much bigger than what just happened?
What if the reaction isn’t really about this moment?
In this talk, Joanne S. Williams, LCSW introduces her Echo Effect—how unresolved adverse experiences and trauma can cause old feelings of fear, rejection, helplessness, or loss of control to show up in present-day situations.
Joanne shares a powerful real-life story about a couple who began to understand why one partner’s reactions could seem controlling. As they looked beneath the reaction, they discovered something deeper: old fear and anger were being activated in the present.
The client’s psychiatric service dog, whom Joanne was certifying, had become an important part of his treatment. His dog helped him recognize and interrupt those escalating emotions, transforming fear and anger into emotional regulation, safety, and choice.
You’ll also receive Joanne’s FREE Reframing Anger Workbook, where you’ll discover three powerful questions to help you look beneath anger and recognize what may really be happening underneath the reaction.
VIP guests will receive the Healing Life’s Hurts Guide to help identify and begin working with the echoes from the past that may still be affecting life today.
Understanding the Echo doesn’t excuse harmful behavior. It creates an opportunity for greater understanding, responsibility, and a different response.
