Reframing Anger Summit Presentation
Repressed Anger Can Kill You...Or, Not!
October 1, 2026 - November 6, 2026
About the Presentation
We’ve been taught to think of anger as a negative emotion—something to control, suppress, or get rid of. But what if we’ve misunderstood anger?
Ilene Dillon, a “Recovered Angry Person,” invites you to look at anger in a different way: as energy that has a job to do in our lives. When we understand what anger is communicating, we can begin to work with it rather than hold it inside or allow it to become destructive.
In this presentation, Ilene explores four essential questions:
What IS anger?
Why do we have anger?
Does anger have a purpose?
Can we get rid of it?
You’ll be introduced to Ilene’s perspective on the role anger plays in our lives and why learning to understand and partner with it can open the door to meaningful personal change.
What might your anger be trying to tell you?
