Reframing Anger Summit Presentation

Decrease Anxiety and Regulate Anger to Promote Positive Change

October 1, 2026 - October 30, 2026

About the Presentation

Anxiety and anger can promote change, but only when regulated and used as a force for good. Chronically high anxiety is creating dysfunction and conflict at unprecedented levels. People who decrease stress amid social anxieties can respond to challenges with creativity, increase comfort with their own emotions, and positively connect with others. We can also use anger in healthy ways to determine what and how to deal with challenges and conflict. Rather than a negative, controlled anger inspires us to bring about healthy changes, and provides the courage to say "no." This session provides strategies to lower anxiety, understand and use anger, and interact with others without taking on their anger. We will consider the dynamics of anxiety from a systems perspective and how to be a positive presence even when pressures are pulling us in different directions.

Packed full of strategies, my book Resilient and Sustainable Caring: Your Guide to Thrive While Helping Others and workshops are based on proven theories and conversations with people around the world. My interactive style engages humor, practical learning, and discussion.
